This summer, Troy Community Theatre (TCT), under the supervision of the Troy Arts Council (TAC), brings the breathtaking production: Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!
Oklahoma! is based on Lynn Riggs's 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs. Set in a rural community outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory, in 1906 (very similar to our little town of Troy), it tells the story of Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry.
We also enjoy as other beloved characters such as Ado Annie, Aunt Eller, Will Parker, and more navigate the fun and exciting life of cowboys, farmers, and settle a new territory.
