"Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" Casting Needs

  1. Joseph (Male Ages 16+): Eleventh & Favorite son of Jacob. Vocally strong Tenor .
  2. Narrator (Female Ages 16+): Guides the audience through the story. Can command the stage and hold endurance through the whole show. Mezzo-Soprano Belter. *We are considering making this a multi-person role.
  3. Pharaoh (Male Age 16+): Elvis Presley Impersonator - soloist.
  4. Jacob (Male Ages 30+): Father of Joseph and the 11 brothers.
  5. Potiphar (Male Ages 18+): Villain of the story, rhythmic speaking solo, baritone voice.
  6. Mrs. Potiphar (Female Ages 18+): Character acting role - seduces Joseph
  7. Baker (Any Gender Ages 16+): Character role, tells Joseph a dream and receives a prophecy.
  8. Butler (Any Gender Ages 16+): Character role, tells Joseph a dream and receives a prophecy.
  9. The Wives (11 wives - Female Ages 12+): In every ensemble number (select solos)
  10. Ruben (Male Ages 16+): Sings “One More Angel in Heaven”, the oldest of the brothers and the group’s leader.
  11. Simeon (Male Ages 16+): Sings “Those Canaan Days”, a dynamic character singer.
  12. Judah (Male Ages 16+): Sings “Benjamin Calypso” charismatic and fun-loving brother ready for some good times.
  13. Dan (Male Ages 14+): One of the leading brothers. Dancer & athletic mover (no singing solo, but dance solo/partnering)
  14. Naphtali (Male Ages 14+): One of the brothers (no solo)
  15. Issachar (Male Ages 14+): One of the brothers (no solo)
  16. Asher (Male Ages 14+): One of the brothers (no solo)
  17. Levi (Male Ages 14+): One of the brothers (no solo)
  18. Zebulon (Male Ages 14+): One of the brothers (no solo)
  19. Gad (Male Ages 12+): One of the brothers (no solo)
  20. Benjamin  (Male Ages 12+): Youngest of the brothers
  21. Dance Core (Any Gender Ages 14+): Dance heavy track to assist with larger numbers and small groups.
  22. Adult/Teen Ensemble (Any Gender Ages 12+): On stage quite often in many different large  numbers
  23. Kids Ensemble (Any Gender Ages 6 - 12): They are the “real audience” and end up being onstage for almost the entirety of the show - - singing and dancing.
