Every summer the Troy Arts Council Theater Committee works to bring in volunteer guest directors and creative teams to participate in a summer residency. This residency includes numerous educational opportunities, camps, and workshops. It also includes the production of a full-scale musical held in the Troy City Park.

Abigail Rebekah - Director/choreographer
Abigail Rebekah is a Director/Choreographer and AEA performer based in New York City.She has her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance from the University of Utah School of Dance and graduated with recognition as an Undergraduate Research Scholar for her thesis, Movement for Actors: Practice, Collaboration, and Performance.

Jake Hughes - Music director
Jake Hughes is excited to be music directing his first show with Troy Community Theatre! He has been involved in the performing arts since the second grade, making appearances for APOD Productions and Heritage Arts Academy, to name a few. He studied the liberal arts and music in college, and is currently in the process of writing and producing his first all-original musical, "A Little Swing," this year! He hopes you enjoy the show!

Emelia Powell - Assistant choreographer
Emelia Powell loves to dance, and over the last 13 years she has made it her mission to dance as much as possible. More than anything Emelia is a performer; she loves any opportunity to get on stage and share a story, this is what eventually brought her to musical theater. She has spent her last 6 summers with Troy Community Theater and is so excited to help out in a different capacity. She spent last year teaching with Festival Dance Academy. She taught beginning level ballet, a rural outreach program, and pre/beginning pointe. She is attending the University of Utah as a contemporary dance major and marketing minor, she hopes to combine her love and commercial view of dance to bring excitement around this art form to as many people as possible.
Joshua Nelson - Assistant Music Director
Josh Nelson recently earned his Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the College of Southern Idaho. This fall, he will transfer to Washington State University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science Pre-Law with the goal of attending a law school in Washington. Outside of academics, Josh enjoys golfing, skiing, listening to music, and working on his family’s cherry orchard. Agriculture and advocacy have played a significant role in his life, and he was recently selected as Idaho FFA’s National Officer Candidate through a rigorous statewide selection process. This fall, he will travel to Indianapolis to continue the national selection process as he seeks to serve as a National FFA Officer. Josh is excited to return to TCT as a seasoned veteran for his 10th production with the group. Some of his previous favorite roles include Davey in Newsies, Linus in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Reuben in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Claudia bishop - co-Dance Captain
Claudia Bishop first became involved in the local arts in 2020 and hasn’t been able to stop since! This will be her sixth amazing summer with Troy Community Theatre. You may have seen her in the ensemble of TCT’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, or most recently as Liesl von Trapp The Sound of Music with APOD Productions. Behind the scenes, Claudia loves concerts, crafting, shopping at her favorite record stores, and hanging out with her best friends Ciena and Maureen.
Tyrnan Barber - co-Dance Captain
Raised in rural Genesee, Idaho, Tyrnan is a college sophomore at the University of Idaho in the BFA program. Prior roles include ensemble/dance core in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Warren in Ordinary Days, dance core in Beauty and the Beast, Russian and bottle dancer/dance core in Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and dance core in A Christmas Carol. Before discovering theatre, Tyrnan was a cheerleader, baseball player, and cross country athlete. Amongst all of the sports and the constantly busy schedule to avoid thinking about anything too serious, Tyrnan relishes causing as much chaos as possible whenever he can.
